VALD FORCEDECKS CMJ BILATERAL SINGLE LEG JUMP DROP JUMP / RSI MOVEMENT SCREEN 12-SESSION BLOCK

The Process

Every Athlete Starts Here

Before we write a single exercise, we test. The evaluation gives us a data picture of how your athlete produces force, absorbs load, and transfers power between legs. That data drives what we train, how we load it, and when we retest.

📋
Movement Screen

Squat pattern, hinge mechanics, landing quality, and hip/ankle mobility before we ever touch the plates.

Force Plate Battery

CMJ bilateral, single-leg jump, drop jump, and balance tests tied back to sport-specific demands.

📊
Parent Report

Clear breakdown of findings, red flags, and training priorities in language parents can actually use.

🏋️
Custom Program

A 12-session block built from the data. Not a template. Every priority is tied to what the evaluation shows.

Test 1 — Countermovement Jump · Bilateral

Bilateral Power Output

Four reps, both legs. We look at jump height, peak power relative to bodyweight, and RSI-modified — how efficiently the athlete uses the stretch-shortening cycle.

BEST REP

AVG PEAK POWER / BM

RSI-MODIFIED AVG

What We Found
  • Jump output was consistent rep to rep, which means effort and testing quality were reliable.
  • Power output was below our target range for a competitive 14U infielder and became a primary training focus.
  • RSI-modified showed the athlete was not yet using the stretch-shortening cycle efficiently.
  • Landing mechanics were flagged and addressed inside the warm-up and deceleration work.

Test 2 — Single Leg Jump · L/R Comparison

Limb Symmetry & Power Gap

Four reps each leg. This is where we find the asymmetries bilateral tests can hide. For a middle infielder, a left-right power gap can affect first-step explosion and change-of-direction quality.

RIGHT AVG JUMP HEIGHT

LEFT AVG POWER / BM

RIGHT SIDE COV

What We Found
  • Single-leg testing showed a right-side power and consistency gap that the bilateral jump did not fully expose.
  • The right leg was less consistent, pointing to a motor control or stability issue rather than only a strength issue.
  • Reactive output on the right side was lower, making the right hip and ankle chain a priority.
  • Without single-leg testing, this limitation would likely be missed in a standard gym assessment.

What Comes Next

The Data Builds the Program

The evaluation produced a clear priority stack. Here is how the findings map directly into the athlete's 12-session development block.

🎯
Priority 1 — Right Hip Chain

Single-leg strength, hip control, and lateral movement work to close the right-side gap.

⬆️
Priority 2 — Power Development

Jump variations, med-ball work, and strength progressions to improve usable power.

🛬
Priority 3 — Landing Mechanics

Deceleration and landing progressions built into the warm-up phase every session.

🔁
Retest Checkpoints

Force plate retests show exactly what moved and whether the plan is working.
